John Freeman (British 1942-): 'Sketch for 'The Shout'', pencil signed titled and dated '04, 19cm x 28cm, together with a postcard depicting the final watercolour Notes: this scene depicts coxswain Henry Freeman (1835-1904) overseeing the launch of the Whitby lifeboat 'Robert and Ellen Robson' c.1890. Freeman was the only survivor of the Whitby Lifeboat disaster of 9th February 1861, when over 200 ships were wrecked off the North East coast.
