Seven glass scent bottles with silver covers, to include a Victorian example with clear glass cylindrical body, the plain hinged silver cover with engraved monogram, hallmarked Sampson Mordan & Co, London 1888, a similar Edwardian example with internal glass stopper, hallmarked Chester 1905, makers mark worn and indistinct, a Victorian example with cylindrical cut glass body and hinged foliate embossed cover, hallmarked Birmingham 1897, makers mark indistinct, possibly Akers & Co, etc.Condition Report:General wear commensurate with age and use, including surface scratches, nicks, small indentations and knocks.Most lacking internal stoppers, and stoppers present not known if original or later replacements.Hallmarks with varying degrees of wear, mostly legible, however some makers marks partly worn and indistinct. Some nibbles to glass, and one example with small losses around bottom edge of body.
